Communication Activities Keyring Summary
These sets of keyring communication cards are a valuable resources for individuals to express their needs, emotions, thoughts more effectively, or a choice of affirmations to help develop a more positive mindset.
COMMUNICATION CARDS include images and words that depict common situations, feelings or requests and pointing to the individual card acts as a visual communication tool for pre or non-verbal children (or older teens). Communication cards can help minimise frustrations and misunderstanding, encouraging better interactions and fostering inclusion. NOTE: I am happy to swop the yes/no cards for anything else that you would like free of charge.
CALMING ACTIVITIES are ideal to help teach children about emotional regulation. When children have difficulty in processing some emotions, they become overwhelmed and very often do not know how to cope or move forward. This is a way to help them navigate through these emotions by choosing a calming technique. They are perfect for all children including neurodivergent children, older teens or adults and help during times when they experience negative feelings that they cannot quite pinpoint. The cards help in finding ways to dispel those feelings while gradually learning how to self regulate.
AFFIRMATIONS
Used daily, positive affirmations can help overcome any negative thoughts and help to build more positive ones. They can also help with self-motivation and boosting self-esteem.
Designed to be portable, they are suitable for using within the home, school or other environments.
