Pretend play during early years is not only fun, but promotes children’s social emotional development and learning about the world around them. With the emotion stones incorporated, they can also learn how to manage feelings and increase empathy skills.

When using these Story Stones, it encourages children’s imagination and widens their vocabulary where they can use their creativity in making different stories and scenarios. Play also develops thinking and problem solving, especially important in any exciting adventure they may create.
If using in lessons, help by putting some stones into a beginning, middle and end section (or first, next and last) and see what children can create (either written or verbal). For children with additional needs (also pre-verbal/pre-writing), the Story Stones are an ideal and fun way to engage them by allowing them to show their creative side in a relaxed way.
Story Stones will either be sent with a drawstring bag or a choice of a colourful Bamboo Box to keep them in.

*Stones are made from recycled glass (as with anything hand-made/recycled, there may be very slight variations on each product - the beauty of unique items).
*sealed with toy safety varnish, they should not be submerged in water.
