Closing Down Sale

After a few months of ‘thinking thoughts’, I have made the difficult decision to close down the Nurture Gnomes. There is no ’one’ reason, but running a small business on your own is incredibly hard, because behind the scenes is where it all happens. Changing the website, while good at the time meant that the algorithms are low and it’s just not getting seen (it doesn’t help I’m not technical at all)! 

Privately, our son has some medical issues and being a parent/carer I have to prioritise family at this time and am struggling with having the time it takes to start building the business back up, and I really need to be present at home at the moment.

However, I look back and think of all the fantastic things I’ve achieved over these past years (including being featured in 3 magazines and winning a business award from Theo Paphitis). The icing on the cake, however, has been all the wonderful reviews I’ve received from parents, grandparents, foster carers, schools and play therapists who have seen amazing results with children using all the resources. You just can’t top that!

So for now, the sale continues, to find lovely homes for the last of my stock (some will be donated) and want to say a big ‘THANK YOU’ to every single customer, friends I’ve made along the way and everyone who has supported, championed and lifted me, including the small businesses I spoke to before coming to my decision.
